Also, here is another study backing up these findings; “Chocolate milk and endurance exercise recovery: protein balance, glycogen, and performance.” One note of caution with chocolate milk however is that you need to make sure that your stomach agrees with dairy. If you have any issues, you will definitely be able to tell if you consume a lot of it, like a glass of chocolate milk, immediately after a hard ride when nothing else is in your stomach. If your stomach is good with dairy, go for it.
